Stmapin' Up! Gift Bag Punch Board1

At the Stampin' Up! conference attendees were given the opportunity to make a gift bag using the envelope punch board.  What fun, and this is what I've been creating...

Want to know how to use the punch board then visit You Tube HERE and see step by step how to use this time saving punch board, created by Stampin' Up!

This is each of the bags I created up close and personal...First at convention, I used the banner punch and decided to use it on my bag, along with this lovely flower we practiced paper piercing on...

Coupled with Pool Party binding and some sequence ribbon, I think it all came together pretty nicely...

My second bag is made of DSP and I must warn, don't score too firmly as it will tear the paper...

The third bag is again with DSP, practicing for my Stampin' Up! catalogue launch :-) and using new stamps and that gorgeous Stampin' Up! in colour ribbon...

Up close, the banner punch is fantastic and I've used markers to colour the stamps and stamp the greeting...

Catalogue Launch fun with a card fold

Stampin' Up! stamps compliment almost any project and today I wanted to showcase a fun card fold prepared for my 2015 Stampin' Up! Catalogue Launch, simply because I rarely play with them.  This card is a diamond fold, which I found on Sandy Hancock's Blog, and you can see her post and the instructions HERE.  This are my examples the girls had to be inspired from...

I used the Gold DSP on Hello Honey... and set the 2.5x2.5" DSP square to the diamond...

This time I turned to Smokey Slate, Whisper White and Hello Honey...gorgeous colour combination

This was crated by one of my gorgeous customers...love the combination of two DSP's and the use of Watermelon Wonder on the Hello Honey...Love it!

The flowers were layered....

and again, this is stunning, and the colours so bright and cheery - DSP "Cherry on Top" by Stampin' Up!  What fun!

This is the measurements of the fold,
Start with a piece of 12" x 4"card stock
and scored on 2", 4", 8", 10"
then score diagonally from 6" to the 2" and 10" points on either side of the card to form the diamond.
Fold from the end Valley, Valley, Valley, Valley with the diagonals being your Mountain folds

This was so much fun and after the first one, really, really, easy so have a go! We actually spent more time on choosing and cutting the DSP to fit!

Call me or e-mail me if you need further clarification and I will be more than happy to help and don't forget the link to the instructions above - more detailed with pictures - Thanks Sandy

Acrylic Block Stamping with Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouette

The Stampin' Up!  acrylic blocks are fantastic as a background stamp - what I hear you say! simply get a block, ink with an ink pad or Stampin' Up! Marker and use it as a stamp, but be sure to have it on a paper piercing mat or a couple of layers of paper - I like to crumple the paper for added effect!  Then simply stamp your image over the block stamped area - it is suggested that the block stamping is done in a lighter colour to complement your focus image.  Yes it is that easy!

I love this background so much I delivered a class on the technique.  How you ask? Literally ink your Stampin' Up! acrylic block and stamp the block on your card.  used textures under your card to create different effects!   This is what I created using Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouette set...

Mother's Day, Birthday, thank you or even a Get Well card, this is an easy technique and versatile layout that can be enhanced with layers - Beautiful Baroque was used to emboss the Crumb Cake layer which compliments the Acrylic block stamping in Wisteria Wonder.

From a Whisper white card base to Pink Pirouette and Crumb cake, this is a beautiful card for Mother's Day...

Stampin' Up! Bird Builder & Tag Topper Card

I have a dear customer who likes to recreate beautiful projects, she finds on pinterest, and I am lucky enough to share this with her.  Today she wanted to recreate a lovely card which used the bird punch and tag topper punch, both by Stampin' Up!.

This is our version using the colours of Burnt Brown Sugar, Whisper White and Real Red...

Acraftycat: bird builder x Stampin' Up & recreated x JM
On the background card we layered Stampin' Up! DSP and then an embossed tag, created using Stampin' Up! tag topper punch, embossed with Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Burlap was cut down and frayed and then the layering of the leaf (Mossy Meadow) velum, Bird body, bird wing and the pearl for the eye. The card was finished off The tag was finished off with Burnt Sugar Twine, simply tied in a bow and adhered with a glue dot.  The card needed some excitement in the corner so we chose three real red candy dots.... just purrrfect!

The bird layering a little closer...

I really enjoy one on ones - it is so rewarding to see a customer recreate a project they have seen and thought they could not accomplish.  Congrats JM, your project is beautiful...

Thank you for stopping by,

Stampin' Up! Bird Builder & Tag Topper Card

Stampin' Up! sell a lovely Bird builder punch which coordinates purrrfectly with their Tag Topper punch.  I have a customer coming over who has seen a card and wishes to case it - this is my interpretation of this beautiful layout using Moonlight DSP, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow and Smokey Slate cardstock, with the bird in Blackberry Bliss.
Acraftycat: Stampin' Up! Bird Builder and Tag Topper punch highlight.
I used a 2" strip of moonlight DSP and punched the edge with Stampin' Up! Spiral Boarder punch.  The background card and tag is stamped with a flower from "Bloom with Hope" in coordinating ink so that it is subtle and watermarks the cardstock.

I had to make another, this time a little more subdued, and this is what I chose...Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Smokey Slate.

Just simple using the colours to do the talking...

I love this card/layout, and I'd love to make one with you too.

Stay warm and I hope to see you soon
